After a couple of weeks of work on the AMX, we have discovered some really bad welding. It seems that whoever did the work before was in a major rush. Now it's up to The Hornet's Nest to do it right.

From body rust to major holes in the floor pans which had just been cut out and replaced with flat sheets of metal.

Being she's an 69 AMX you just cant go to your local library and pick up a American Motors shop manual for body repair or just go on the internet and get body plans. so with what little was left of the original floor pans, I had to imagine what the original pans would look like being complete from the factory. So with flat sheet metal, hammer and dolly, and hard work, I was able to get the floor pans done.

After many hours of grinding old welds, deconstructing everything that had been done before and removing all of the flanged metal, we reconstructed everything as it should have been to begin with. We had to hand fabricate the trunk panel because it was non-existent. Everything has been primed and sealed...next up is the driver's side quarter panel.
